Plot: Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark become targets of the Capitol after their victory in the 74th Hunger Games sparks a rebellion in the Districts of Panem.
Mise en scene- The film is set in wintry conditions with a lot of fires to show that there are very rural areas. The clothes worn in the districts are very tattered and look to be made from rags, whereas the uniforms worn by the guards look really modern.
Editing: When the camera is on the people in the district who are very poor there is more of a blue tint to show that its very cold, whereas when its on the richer people there is a strong orange glow to show they are in and can afford warmth.
Sound: The music is quite calm for the majority but when there is some action, the music fades out to let more diagetic sounds come through e.g. screaming.
Cinematography- The camera focuses a lot on close ups of various people to show facial expressions. The camera seems to look up to katniss and peeta to show they have dominance and that people look up to them, but seems to look down on the crowd to show they have no authority.
